Protecting Mother Earth: Packing Paper

It's Earth Day!

What are you doing today to show your love for Pachamama?

Something I am very sensitive to as a business owner is creating a long-lasting brand, run by fun-loving and happy people, in a manner that respects the people, customs and environment within which we work.

And considering we have to use a lot of packing material to get our pretty Colombian plates from point A to point B, reusing, repurposing and recycling is huge for us.

If we don't take steps to protect our environment, both in Colombia and stateside, who will?

So, one way we do this is by wrapping our pottery in Colombian newspaper misprints.

The newspaper was either mis-printed or over-printed and would have otherwise been burned or tossed in a landfill.

This same paper is what we use to ship our dinnerware on to you--thus reducing additional paper waste. As such, you can brush up on your Spanish the next time you receive a shipment from us!

So the next time we land on your door step can you do us a small favor? Please remember to toss our packing paper and shipping boxes in the recycling bin. From Colombia to the USA, we are all in this together.

Have a Happy Earth Day!

Con Mucho Amor,
